1. There are ladies cheering with joy and happiness.
2. They are very excited holding each other, because they scored a goal.
3. Before the game happened the soccer girls were very nervous.
4. Victory is there, and tonight they are going to celebration.

Wrestling

The wrestler wearing red got him in an Anaconda armlock.
As quickly as he could he tried to get into a perfect position to take him down.
The other person anxiously struggled to break out of the arm lock, but the man was too powerful.
The blue person might have a chance of doing a grapple on him.  

Archery

The man is aiming at a target trying to get in a good position.
He is also holding a bow and arrow getting ready to pull.
Also after that he is going to let go, making the arrow go flying to the target.

My holiday highlight

On the first day of my holidays It was awesome. My aunt and uncle rang over and said if I was allowed to stay over for the night. My mum said “emm I don’t know”. “Please” I said with joy and happiness. “Yes ok then” my mum said. I went over to see my aunt and uncle. I started playing the game once I got over there. It got kind of hot and I was hungry. I got out of the house and started running to the shops. I bought a pie and a drink that can cool me down and make me full.
The next morning I woke up and went straight on to the computer. It was getting boring.

In the afternoon I went on the trampoline to hop, bounce, jump, and to do backflips.

Art Writing

My special place is the school rugby field. I like it because everyone I see there likes to have fun and enjoy their morning tea and lunch time everyday. I really like playing NRL with all my mates on the rugby field. When I was little I used to watch the All Blacks play every time. So my wish is to become an All Black some day.

I really like playing against other schools on our Pt England rugby field. It reminds me how we beat a school on our first game at Pt England school. I always like to think about the rugby field every time I go past. My favourite thing on the rugby field, are my friends. I like to play with them.  
My artwork is in the style of Henry Matisse. Henry Matisse is famous for his art style ‘Les Fauves’ or ‘Fauvism’ (Wild Beast). My artwork has lots of wild, bright colours in it.

De'Vyne Term 2 Refliction

This term I have had a great year for term 2. My best subject for this term was writing, because I have been Improved my writing. My best sports for this term was Rugby. I really like it because we make it into the auckland champs. Also all my artwork I’ve done.

For term 2 I am going to try get better at every subject that I have been going for the year. First of all I am going to do well in sports.

Narrative Writing

In a land far far away there were two little kids named Jimmy and Lala. They saw a huge red door that took them to the underworld with a dangerous scary devil named Joe. He was the most powerful immortal ever in ancient history. It was because of his most powerful toes that had the Ability to run faster than Usain Bolt. The Next day Jimmy and Lala woke up in a mysterious castle. All they saw was lots of guns full of ak47s, RPG’s, and desert eagles. It was only Jimmy and Lala talking on the devil at MW2. Jimmy grabbed out the RPG and try to get Joe, but he was too fast. The Devil got out a ak47 and started shooting Jimmy. Lala only needing one shot to win this game. In Fact Lala was so Angry that she turn ultimate Hulk and started manny pacquiao the devil. The game was over with Jimmy and Lala becoming the most powerful little kids in ancient history now.

The next morning Jimmy and Lala were hungry. So Jimmy had to hunt so they can survive on food and water. 7 hours been passed and still Jimmy and Lala have found no food. Later on a miracle happen. All the superheroes came, Hulk, Spider Man, Thor, and all the Marvel and Dc character. They all had a feed together to Celebrate the death of the Devil, Joe. Soon Enough a bright light came and woke up Jimmy. It was a god. “come alone Jimmy” Zeus said. He went off leaving Lala behind so he can save the world from becoming a dirty trash. Lala was left alone afraid that something bad was going to happen.

Later on Lala and the avengers were on a mission to find one of the most horrible men Smoke, and Ryder. They were both heading towards the jets to make a run away. One second, Iron Man came out of nowhere and blew up the jet. The world was saved from Jimmy. And that was the ending of the story. “what what what” I forgot to tell you something Jimmy and Lala both got married to each other.

Tamaki Tech

On a Thursday all year 8’s have been able to do tech at Tamaki College. First off we were sent there to learn, make, cook, and do all different kinds of things. I was put into Japanese with my new teacher Sensei Ishibashi. When we first got to do japanese I never thought that it was going to be boring doing worksheets with everyone else. What I like really doing there was just drawing at the back of my worksheets.

The next week Sensi Ishibashi was gone because he broke his arm. Seen Sensei was gone we had Mr Uku. He show us how to create a Ninja star and a Samurai hat. It was awesome being with Mr Uku for the first time. After making Ninja stars and Samurai hats, we went outside to learn some Karate. It was funny once my friends started making weird nosing. Later on we had to go back to School to learn more.

For the last day of the term we all saw Sensi Ishibashi. My first word I ever said to him in awhile was good morning Sensi Ishibashi how a you. I knew something was going to be cool today so I stick to it. I really like it today at Japanese and I really had a good time. But all those word I've been saying about it was boring I really didn’t mean that.

So thank you Sensi Ishibashi for showing us the true meaning of japanese.
 

AFL

Over the last 2 weeks our class room 21 had to learn about AFl. A really good game to play. Our coach was Sandwich and he gave us a good experience learning how to drop punt and pass. It was fun once we started kicking the ball, but my partner stinks at it. My only session for today is drop punt.

The only thing I like to do in a game. I was cracking up because when I went to drop punt the ball, Kane did a nek minute. Later on after that we went to play octopus. The funniest part that happen was that Lorenzo thought that he was about to make it pass, but soon enough Sandwich came from a mile and got him.

The next week we learn a new strategy, passing. It was a little bit fun but I didn’t like it. It was boring in fact. My opponent was Aidan and he was better then my other partner Kane. Aidan and I was just passing the ball like we were pros. We were in our possession doing all sort of drills like ball handling skills, the pirate dance, high passing, and I don’t really know more.

Compare & Contrast Pablo Picasso & Daniella Hulme

Room 21 has been given a challenge for the second time to compare and contrast Pablo Picasso and Daniella Hulme. Pablo Picasso is famous for his art style ‘Cubism’ and Daniella Hulmes style is modern art. The two artworks that we have comparing is ‘The Weeping Woman’ by Picasso and ‘A lazy day in paradise’ by Daniella Hulme.

First I looked at ‘the weeping woman’. I noticed that there are lots of lines. Also it looks ugly. I can notice that it has a sort of green that I have never seen. But by the looks of it, it looks like its mixed with yellow. It looks like she is crying but I can’t tell about the weeping woman.

In the painting of ‘A lazy day in paradise’, I see that a woman just being lazy doing nothing. She is just lying down on the sofa. I see lots of colours that make it stand out. She has lots of flowers that’s like island pattern’s.

The different about the the ‘Weeping woman and ‘A lazy day in paradise. Is that the ‘weeping woman’ has more lines and that it just looks like broken glass. Also Daniella Hulme looks realistic, because it has all sort of Island pattern.

My second thoughts is that I like the Daniella Hulme painting better because the ‘Weeping woman’ just looks weird and hideous.      

Friday Assembly

On a Friday all the classes had to go to assembly to see who gets to be a prefect. It was boring of cause and I started falling asleep. Mr Burt showed us a video that can help us use the crossing safely. Instead of running across the road use the crossing its much more safe.

Now When You get out of the car use the footpath side.

In room 21 our teacher Mrs Lagitupu has set us a task to compare and contrast Henry Matisse and Van Gogh's paintings. Henry Matisse is famous for his art style Les Fauves or Fauvism (Wild Beast). And Van Gogh's art style is Expressionism, and thats what he's famous for. The two paintings that we had to compare were Matisses 'La Musique' and Van Goghs 'Sunflowers'.

What I notice about the sunflower painting is that it has only a few colours. It has lots of yellow and brownish colours. It looks like some flowers are facing down. Maybe some of the sunflowers are dead because they look tired and droopy. The flowers are sitting in a pot. The pot also has yellow and brownish colours like the flowers.

Something I notice about 'La Musique' is that the lady with the guitar is wearing blue clothes on. And that she is with someone beside her who is wearing a yellow brownish dress. Also on the painting it shows a very good background that stands out. The background has large green leaves. It looks like the lady is playing the guitar to the musical notes on the floor.

The sunflower is different to the 'La Musique' painting because the colour from the sunflower is mainly yellow and the 'La Musique painting has lots of contrasting colours.

The Holidays

I didn’t do anything exciting in the holidays. It was so boring because my friend just wanted to be a game freak 24/7. So I went down to my friends house (Kane’s), and Kane and his brothers asked if I wanted to go down to Youth Pride (Holiday programme). I said “yes why not”. When I got there I saw my mates Matthew, Lepa, Kayde, and Jephte. I was so hungry once I got there. I heard that it was going to be the last day of Youth Pride. So I knew that there was going to be a shared lunch. I said “sweet”. After that my friends told me to get something from the machine to eat, but I didn’t wanted to spend my money.

Later on we had a feed, and it was nice. There was a sausage sizzle, sausage rolls, chips, fish, and also apple pie and ice-cream. I had lots of fun at Youth Pride and it would be so cool if people can camp there. But why did I have to come on the last day? After we had our feed Kingston and I went to the basketball court and played.

Soon enough it was almost home time and it started to get boring. I hope that I will be able to go again in the next holiday and see all my friends instead of staying at home playing my game. It’s been a cool holiday for the last 2 weeks.

But next holiday I bet it’s going to be better.

Camp Dancing

At camp we did a dance that was like Zumba. it was very funny once we started dancing. Everyone Started to act dumb. I was acting like a jerk during zumba and it was crack up. I was doing the best dance I can and it was good. Tyler mum was the best at dancing, and I was like jealous. My dancing skills was madness, jumping up everywhere, doing lots of hand flips. Just crazy. When we were doing each song, I had a very funny face.
Now that's the end of my story.

Camp Concert

I can’t wait until I can show off my dance skills. On Camp Concert night our MC (host) was Mr Barks. I was so afraid that something funny was going to happen. All the groups got ready and it was time to hit the hall. Once I got into the hall, I thought to my self that our group Respectronicz would come last. Our leaders told us to line up in even lines, to relax and enjoy the show.

“Give it up for TEAM RESPECT” Mr Barks said. Once they came up on stage, we were all cheering “Go Cruz team”. I yelled out “where’s the pop corn”. If that was me on stage doing all those ugly, funny faces, I would be embarrassed. That was shocking. ‘Now its time to give out some awards” (Mr Barks). “Matthew Timoko for the best old skool game played”. Skux.

Next up was the RESPECT SQUAD. When the music began it was noisy as. “Impressive dance move” I said. That was wonderful. After a while I got bored and felt tired and ready to go to sleep. But it was time for the Respectronicz. I got up in a happy way, ready to show off my dance move. I was so tired, but it didn’t look like it. Showing off my Dougie has always been the same for everyone to know.

I can’t believe our group came second. So thanks to the Judges.

Books Not My Thing

Books are not my thing because Some are hard some are easy, but most of all its boring. I always had to read books, at home, school, and cousin. But now I’m growing and soon I’m going to be in college. Oh but wait I have to read in college damn. If I want to be in the smart class next year I have to learn every night more, more, and more. My only subject I’ve have to work on is reading. Maths and writing I now how but Books... not my thing its just like saying smoking not my future. Well this is reading not my future. Do you think that books are cool or boring, well its your choice if you want to read you would be growing up to do all kinks of thing, but if you don’t want to read and think it boring. To me I will say is that you are not going to be smart at all. So now I I’m going to read almost every day. But you know now Books... Not My Thing

Netball De'Vyne

Netball. The only sport I hate. Netball is a game that show ball skills, and technique. Last Thursday room 21 went to netball to learn more about it (for people that do not know). Half of the class had no bibs and the other half had bibs on, so you would know which side they were on. Liz the instructor showed us how to work out our bodies in a hot sunny day. It was boring. We all had to hop on the circles and x. My partner was Matthew. We both had to learn how to intercept a ball. We both got good at it and think like we were pros.

Jumping up for the ball was exciting and fun, but sometimes its so hard because I’m short. Shawn and I were passing the ball so no one could intercept. Shawn and I were laughing because he had to go back in line. After that Matthew and I went to enjoy the breeze under the shade. The sun was as hot as lava coming down to destroy our school.

After we had to intercept the ball we played a game that wasn’t fun at all. It was so dumb that I never want to do it again. Some of my friends were on the other side. That made it boring. After we had our game the boys said that we won just to be funny, but actually it was the girls.

We all packed up and put our bibs away for the next class to enjoy their game. I went to get some water so I don’t get dehydrated. So thanks Liz for showing us how to have some fun. But next time its going to be worse and boring.

Three P's With Treaty Of Waitangi

In 1840, on the 6th of February the English came over to NZ to make a treaty with the Maoris. William Hobson and his crew came in their boats and ships. The Pakeha people wanted to make this treaty so they can bring peace between the Maoris and the English settlers.

Hone Heke was the first one to sign the treaty of all 40 chiefs. The English people wanted to make this agreement so they can take over NZ. But The English people promised if the Maori sign the treaty the English would keep the Maori safe.

The Three P’s are very important, Protection, Partnership, and Participation. First off we are going to talk about Partnership because that’s my favourite. Partnership is about helping one another and joining a team.

Now Next we are going to talk about Protection. Protection is like when you see American football game, you would see how the person is blocking another so he’s protect the person so he don’t get hit. That’s what Protection is to me.

Last of all Participation. Participation is Something that you could join in something. Like joining in a rugby game.

Something About Myself

Hello my name is De’Vyne & I am going to tell you about myself. First off I am going to tell you how old I am. I am 11 years old & going to turn 12 this year in March the 11TH. My favourite sports is Rugby League, B ball, and others. My favourite take away is Carl's Jnr much like most of my friend like to eat. I like to play with all my friend on the Field. I like to come to school to learn many things instead of waited at home a being dumb.

De'Vyne School Holidays

In the school holidays I went to my aunts and uncle's house. First off I got up and had a fresh breakfast. I had coco pops yummy.... but my cousin had Yum Yum noodles. More like yuk yuk. It was so boring waiting for other people in my family to come. So I played Call of Duty Black Ops (Xbox 360 game) because it was boring. Finally they came. We all got in the car and started thinking of the best fun park in New Zealand ... Rainbow's End.

We all got there safe and my aunt and uncle paid for the bands so we could get in. The most exciting ride I would say is the roller coaster... mean. My cousin and I first went on the pirate ship giving me butterflies, up, down, up, down. I show ed my cousin where to go because itwas his first time. My cousins favourite ride was the invader because he liked how it spun around and around. It felt like this song: “You spin me right round baby right round like a record baby right round round round”.

That's what it felt like around and around. The next ride my cousin and I went on was the Gold Rush. That's like the 7Th best ride that I like , because I liked how the man goes “watch out!” with that cart. But I hated how we were outside because the water kept going on me (hate it).

The best day of my cool holiday happened and I knew it. Going to my uncle’s house was cool and next time its going to be better .
